Bon sinon, je viens de regarder la liste des coasters de ce parc sur RDCB: zéro inverted, à part le SLC familial Vekoma, l'Invertigo ou le Suspended Arrow ...

C'est pas bien grave, ça, à Dorney Park, autre parc Cedar Fair, ils ont bien aussi trois inverted : l'invertigo Vekoma, l'inverted B&M et l'impulse Intamin et je pense que les clients font bien la différence entre les trois, même si la position est plus ou moins la même.
Un aperçu du plan commence à circuler sur la toile. D'après les rumeurs, ce nouveau B&M aurait le record du nombre d'inversion sur un Inverted.

Mega annonce le 8 août, ça hésite toujours entre le Wing Coaster et l'Inverted.
L'annonce officiel c'est pour le 8 août. En attendant, la chaîne de télévision US, WLWT (groupe NBC) est aller consulter les plans déposés à la mairie de Manson, en compagnie de l'ancien directeur du parc.

Dans le reportage, ils interviewent l'un des fondateurs de king's island, qui les aide à "décoder" les plans.
Il dit que c'est un très gros coaster, et qu'il y a probablement "des trains où les passagers sont suspendus sur les côtés du rail, un modèle dont il n'en existe que 4 dans le pays" (en incluant celui-ci).
Donc ça a de grandes chances d'être un wing rider.
Sauf que ce sera un Inverted...
Oui en effet, il s'agirait d'un Inverted comprenant le plus grand nombre d'inversions (et prendrait la place de l'ex Son of Beast).

Là, B&M m'a un peu étonné : bretzel, inline twist ... bref, le parcours est très original. Mais maintenant que j'y pense, Banshee, ce n'était pas le nom initial de Mantis à Cedar Point ?
C'est plus complexe que ca. Effectivement, Banshee devait être le nom de Mantis, il a finalement été abandonné par Cedar Point. Cependant, tout était déjà prêt à Cedar Point et le logo de l'attraction déjà conçu. Mais le logo ne collait plus avec le nouveau nom de l'attraction. Rien ne se perdant à Cedar, le logo a donc été réutilisé dés l'année suivante à Dorney Park (un autre parc Cedar) pour l'attraction Steel force.
Pour être complet, le Banshee, dans le culture celte, est un esprit féminin surnommée "Messagère de la mort". En effet, on racontait que la Banshee commençait à gémir ou à crier quand quelqu'un était sur le point de mourir.
Vous imaginez le ressenti sur les visiteurs du parc. De nombreuses jeunes filles criant dans le coaster (même si mantis n'est pas "exceptionnel"), s'il y avait eu le moindre incident, certains auraient ressortis cette légende. Et comme les américains sont assez religieux, Cedar Point a préféré ne prendre aucun risque.

La question qu'on peut se poser, c'est pourquoi Cedar Fair a changé son fusil d'épaule et a choisi d'appeler "Banshee" son nouveau coaster? (Il y aura toujours des jeunes filles qui crieront à l'intérieur)
Pour rappel, voici le logo qui avait été choisi pour Banshee à Cedar point (à l'époque), on reconnait Steel force.

Une belle tuerie, avec de très bons éléments, le meilleur de ce que peux proposer un inverted ... drop droite à la Oziris, immense dive loop, looping autour du lift, batwing à la Montu, heartline roll à la Volcano ... bref du très bon et du original, qu'on ne voit pas sur tous les inverted ! Ca donne vraiment envie d'y retourner. Seul petit doute, les harnais de wing, à voir ce que ça donnera niveau confort.

Woua ! La first drop est vraiment très impressionnante :o !! Les nouveaux inverted B&M ont vraiment un layout très intéressant, les figures s'enchainent vite sans être brutal comme pour Oziris et, le Dive loop mode inverted qui est très impressionnant !! J'ai vraiment hâte de voir le coaster une fois fini ;D

Dans les statistiques ils nous disent que cet Inverted sera celui avec le plus d'inversions : 7, mais ce n'est pas une première puisqu'il me semble que Montu en comporte déjà 7 ;)

Il est vrai que ce serait une interaction vraiment superbe, mais encore faut-il que les employés soient à temps pour faire quitter le train de la station, pour installer les visiteurs, ect :P .
J'ai l'impression que ce coaster est un "concurrent" des Inverted des parcs Busch Gardens (en l'ocurrence Alpengeist et Montu), avec des éléments uniques tout en gardant cette ampleur digne de B&M ^^.

OzIris en version agrandie, ça semble vraiment ça et j'adore! Je suis surpris que le terrain soit déjà aussi propre, ça change de chez nous où la théma et la végétation arrive trop souvent après, au moins les américains se laissent le temps de fignoler.
Bon bah l'on-ride est arrivé plus tôt que ce que je pensais ::) Sinon le coaster ne déçoit pas, et, je trouve aussi qu'il ressemble dans certains secteur à Oziris, et, la nouvelle génération d'inverted B&M est, à mon goût, mieux que l'ancienne génération ;)
Kings Island fait décidément les choses en grand niveau merchandising.. Je vous présente la glace #Banshee !!

C'est gentil de le proposer mais non merci, pour les tee-shirt je préfère essayer pour être sûr de ne pas avoir un truc trop large que je ne porterai pas. Et puis avoir le tee-shirt sans avoir rider le coaster ça ne m'intéresse pas trop...un jour peut-être.

C'est là qu'on voit l'importance que les parcs procurent aux américains ! En Europe ce n'est pas du tout le cas en tout cas pas autant. Peut-être un jour... Ce qui se passe en Amérique se transporte en Europe généralement donc pourquoi pas ça aussi !
Le parc est ouvert depuis 30 minutes, il y a plus d'une heure d'attente pour entrer (simplement) à l'intérieur.. On ne parle même pas de Banshee :o :o
